Term Dates and the School Day

Please do not book any holidays within these dates. Any requests for planned absence of leave must be made in writing to the headteacher and Governing Body at least four weeks before any event. Any unauthorised absences may result in a penalty notice and fine.

The School Day

The school gate opens at 8.45am and children are welcome to go straight into school. Much can be achieved before the register is taken at 9am. Children arriving between 9.05 and 9.30am are marked as late. Children arriving after 9.30am receive an unauthorised absence even if they are present in school after this time.

All children have a break at 11am for 15 minutes. Lunch is from 12.15pm for one hour.

Children in Class 1 have a 10 minute break in the afternoon. 

Children can be collected at 3.15pm.

Additional paid childcare can be arranged from 8-8.45am and from 3.15-5pm (Monday-Thursday) and 4.30pm on Friday (After School Club). Do let us know if this will help.

The length of the school week is 32.5 hours which meets the minimum Government expectations.
